Translation Services English Italiano · Italiano English Words have meaning and meaning has consequence. There is an ancient Italian saying, "Traduttori-Traditori." In English, "translators are traitors." Ancient and modern history have born out this fact only too often. Change a single word and you may change the entire intent of an important document. In the past, Catholic monks had to be extremely careful. If they changed one word in the translation of religious texts, they could inadvertently (or intentionally) invalidate a sacrament. One word and the "form" of a sacrament could be so radically changed that the translation no longer signified what was intended, and because of this the sacrament was no longer confected. In the commercial world accurate translations will either make or break commercial ventures, make or break an advertising program, make or break an author's career, make or break the success of a journalistic enterprise. When you seek a translation, hopefully, what you are after is a totally accurate rendition of what has been previously written into a language that is not your mother tongue. Therefore accuracy is first and foremost; to translate what is being said, rather than what you think someone is saying or intended to say. We are dedicated to translating accurately, expeditiously and economically whatever your needs may be, including literature, journalism, economics, advertising and Internet content. Our main translator has been involved with English-Italian translation since the early 1970s, upon graduating in English Language at Manchester's (UK) College for Adult Education. A post-secondary education in both languages (Rome's La Sapienza University, London's University of Western Ontario), a life-long cultural exchange (including a previous career with major Italian and American oil engineering companies), and years of productive residence in English speaking countries all come into play in making our bi-mother-language translation service a most qualified and reliable one. 65 million Italians account for nearly 20% of Europe's consumer market. And, as in other G7 Countries, e-business in Italy has been leaping forward in recent years. Successful communication is tantamount to correct communication.
